Human Touch iJoy Active 2.0 Massage Chair Review

You want a massage chair, but you don’t have thousands of dollars to spend on a high-end model (who does?). The Human Tough iJoy looks and feels like a luxury massage chair, but it comes at price that just about anyone can afford. Complete with a remote control, automatic massage programs and orbital massage technology, this is a chair that you’ll be proud to show off.

Human Touch iJoy Active 2.0 Massage Chair Review

The iJoy may not have a laundry list of features, but it gets the job done – and it does it well. Even without the massage function on, this chair is incredibly comfortable to sit on. It can double as a recliner in your living room, too.

The massage function is spot on, and you have the option of creating your own custom massage session, or using one of the built-in programs.

There are three automatic programs:

  • Think: Focuses on the back.
  • Recharge: Focuses on the lower back.
  • Perform: Focuses on the neck and shoulders.

The chair also has Human Touch’s FlexGlide massage technology built-in, so you can customize the massage to your liking. This technology gives you the option of choosing three massage techniques that emulate the same motion that your massage therapist would use. Choose from Orbit, Stretch or Glide.

What’s great about the massage rollers in this chair is that they’re surprisingly comfortable. They don’t pinch or press too hard like some other models do. They match the contour of your body, so you enjoy a thorough massage. It’s just like having your own massage therapist right in your living room.

All of the massage functions are controlled by the tethered remote. You’ll never lose it because it’s attached to the chair, and you’ll have complete control over the massage function. Select one of the three automatic programs, adjust the width of the rollers, and move the position up or down. At the bottom of the remote, you can select the massage technique you want to use: glide, stretch or orbit.

Another great thing about this chair is that it only weighs 100 pounds, which means it’s relatively easy to move – especially if you have a pair of helping hands.

I’d give the iJoy Active 2.0 chair a 4.5 stars for massage quality. For this price, this chair is an absolute steal, and a smart buy.

Pros

  • Multiple massage types
  • Automatic programs included
  • Customizable width and height adjustments
  • Convenient remote control
  • Comfortable design
  • Affordably priced

Cons

  • No leg or foot massage function

The only downside to this chair is that it doesn’t offer leg or foot massage functionality. If you were looking for a chair that offered full body massage, this will not be the right choice for you. That said, it does give an excellent upper body and back massage that’s well above and beyond what you’d expect at this price range.

Overall, I would recommend the iJoy Active 2.0 chair to anyone who is on a tight budget, or looking for a thorough upper body and back massage.
