Infinity IT-8500 Review

When you sit in the 8500, you’ll feel your body engulfed in comfort. You’ll be able to choose from 2 different zero gravity positions that allow your back and neck to fall naturally back into alignment.

Directly in front of you will be the touch key controls that allow you to control the massage type you choose and several other of the chair’s functions.

You’ll find that there are 6 different massage types:

  • Combination
  • Kneading
  • Knocking
  • Shiatsu
  • Synchronic
  • Tapping

Each massage type has its own purpose, and you’ll be able to adjust the massage strength manually to reach deeper knots in your back, calves, feet, arms, shoulders or neck.

I want to make note of one of my favorite massage type: Synchronic. You’ll plug your MP3s into the USB port, and the built-in speakers will begin to play your favorite song. The really awesome thing about this feature is that you’re massaged to the actual beat of the music – it’s awesome.

Four automated massage programs are available:

  • Extend
  • Recover
  • Refresh
  • Relax

These will incorporate several different massage techniques to allow you to massage your entire body. The chair works with the following to provide you with a massage:

  • Airbags: 38 air bags are located around the chair to provide a full body massage.
  • Foot Rollers: The advanced foot roller system has three foot rollers that will massage your feet with strength and intensity.
  • Waist Twist: Perfect for the lower back, this feature sways the chair back and forth to alleviate pain and work through tension and tightness.

Another priceless feature is the lumbar heat. You’ll be able to put the heat on to relax the back muscles and prepare them for your massage.  This will reduce pain and tightness right before the airbags begin massaging your lumbar area to release tension, tightness and pain.

Pros

  • Several massage techniques and options available.
  • Lumbar heat allows for lower back relief.
  • Zero gravity ensures a deep spinal stretch.
  • Remote control for easy option changing.
  • Built-in speakers for audio entertainment.

Cons

  • Heavy weight.
  • Foot rollers can be painful.

All massage chairs are very heavy, so you’ll want some help when moving this chair around. The only issue I experienced was that the foot rollers had a very strong strength that was actually rather painful and didn’t allow for the relaxing feel I wanted.

But, most foot massages on these chairs have the same issue.

The pre-programmed massages and manual massage options allow you to enjoy a massage with the utmost comfort. During my Infinity IT-8500 review, I found that the music synchronic massage was one of my favorite choices, and the lumbar heat was great for relieving my lower back tension.

It’s a great chair with a lower price point than most in its class.

And, there is even a 3-year warranty on all of the parts and labor. For me, this is the perfect massage chair for every home or massage parlor.
