A five-star chair that offers exceptional preset programs to melt away stress and tension while also offering eight manual massage settings that you can adjust to meet your needs. Have an aching pain in your back? Use the full and regional roll setting to hit just the right spot. Does your neck hurt? Why not choose the Swedish, or Hawaii massage?
We’re going to share what we experienced during our Panasonic EP1285KL review (it was heavenly), but before we get there, let’s cut to the chase, and look at the pros and cons of this model.
- The highest setting provides a very intense, strong massage (perfect for those rough days after work).
- The leg massage is out of this world.
- Immense durability with an ironclad warranty.
- The padding is a little tough, and it takes a few days to break in
Panasonic EP1285KL Review
The chair ships at 172 pounds, and you’ll need someone to help you assemble this model. Assembly is straightforward, and should take you less than an hour. Once you have the chair in position, you’ll sit down and notice that the pads are a little rough. Don’t worry, the padding will soften over time, but don’t be alarmed by the toughness when you first sit down.
I recommend turning the setting on to its highest setting and letting the chair run for 15 to 20 minutes to try to break in the pads.
I promise you that the pads will soften over time and become more comfortable.
Back to business. When you’re sitting on this chair, you’ll notice that it fits your whole entire body; the back is high enough for your neck to be massaged while your legs and feet will also be massaged.
An auto recline feature is present. Panasonic also includes a three-year warranty on parts, and a one-year warranty on labor.
There are several different massage techniques offered, including:
- Leg stretch
- Deep neck/shoulder massage
- Quick mode (five minute programs)
- Soft shiatsu
- Full/regional roll
You’ll have four preset programs that you can use as well as eight manual programs that allow you to take full control of your massage.
I do want to note that the leg massage is exceptional. I never had a leg massage of this quality outside of a massage parlor before – it will relieve all of the tension in your calves and ankles. And Panasonic has ensured that the EP1285KL is able to target nearly all of the 350 acupoints in the body for the ultimate massage.
Did you know that there are over 100 acupoints in your back and neck alone?
Declining to 170°, you’ll be in complete bliss during your massage. It’s not often that I recommend a massage chair over a massage therapist. For the most part, most chairs fall short of the personalized experience you get with a massage therapist that kneads away your tension and pays special attention to problem areas.
But during my Panasonic EP1285KL review, I decided it was time to ditch my massage therapist and use this chair on a daily basis. It’s comfortable, built by a company that is known for exceptional customer service, and it works incredibly well at hitting just the right tension points to relieve muscle pain, stress, anxiety and tension after a long day.
